Chef Tano Simoneta
I recently met Chef Simoneta here in Milan in 2017. His food is equally loved by his loyal clients and the most discerning food critics; and the Michelin guide keeps awarding him a richly deserved star. To say that he is the master of Italian Gastronomy with a keen focus on health would be an Chef Tano Simoneta understatement. He has also been awarded by “Il Glossario” as best Italian Restaurant in 2015 and AIRO awarded him as best restaurant in the world that uses extra virgin oil of olive. Chef Simoneta owns the Michelin star restaurant “Tano passami l’olio” (‘Pass Me The Olive Oil’) here in Milan. The essence of Chef Simoneta dishes is his use of the highest quality Italian extra virgin olive oil. And since 1995, olive oil has been the foundation of his sophisticated, yet light signature dishes, in which the ingredients are served in their cleanest form but at all timed playful like Chef Simoneta.
