If you think you know Italian Food you have never been to TASTE
TASTE is the best Florence has to offer in the way of a food Tour. TASTE is dedicated to excellence in quality food and lifestyle. What makes TASTE different is that it is part discovery and part history lesson. As you migrate from stall to stall you see the long history of Italy reflected in its famed products such as Balsamic vinegar or prosciutto. Kosher parmigiano reggiano is a keen reminder of Italy’s multicultural roots. While the microgreens demonstrate Italy’s continued commitment to healthy living while embracing a newer approach.
I arrived at TASTE uncertain what to expect. Once I passed the arduous badge checkpoint I entered into what can only be described as food nirvana. Everywhere the eye cold travel there was the best of the best on display. I am do not drink coffee but if there was ever a place to try my first sip Italy would be that place. One of the many things I love about living in Tuscany is that I am always amazed at what I would never expect to see or taste. I had a pleasant chat with the purveyor of Italian caviar. We discussed the nuisances of what one can expect from Italian caviar versus Russian caviar. Naturally I found my way to the chocolate section and was inspired by the flavor profiles.
While TASTE is most focused on connecting producers with commercial buyers in Italy food is for all so everyone is naturally welcomed. So, if you are ever in Florence in March make a point to visit TASTE and experience the best of Italy.
