No Recipe Needed

The funny thing about cooking is that recipes are not always required. What is required is a sense of adventure and a healthy appetite. As the weather continues to warm up a hot kitchen is low on my list of priorities. Never the less lone must eat. Spring is one of my favorite times of the year to experiment. I head out to my favorite farmers market and pick up whatever looks fresh.
Some days nuts, cheese and fruit are my thing and on other days a salad or sandwhich will do. I am always about quick and easy when running from place to place. This week I made spiced curry nuts which satisfies my sweet tooth and gives me a quick boost of energy when I don’t have time to slow down. For lunch a salad is a no brainer. I keep little jars handy so that I can measure out my dressing pack my lunch container with whatever is handy and I am out the door. This week fennel, pine nuts and orange supremes with a citrus vinegarette is grab it and go item.
I found the perfect basic muffin recipe which can be adjusted to the flavor profile that I am feeling on a particular day. Finally Persecco! It is a delicous sparkling wine that offers up so many culinary opportunities. In fact, I used Persecco as a base for my citrus vinegarette. So my fellow Gastronomers set the recipes aside and get adventurous inside amd outside the kitchen.
Bon Vivant!
